THIS IS OUR  FARM

Get Redy Farm is a community-rooted farm in Waimanalo, O'ahu dedicated to growing produce in every shade of red and building together until we are fed.

OUR MISSION

Get Ready Farm is a regenerative agricultural operation in Waimānalo, Oʻahu, growing herbs, vegetables, and blooms across the red spectrum. The mission runs deeper than the harvest. Not everyone can visit the farm. Not everyone can access what we grow, but everyone can shift their focus towards learning more about our food system.

We grow food to feed people directly. We document and share what we learn to reach further. We work to put more growing knowledge in more hands so the change compounds beyond us. Education, access, and replication. That is the mission.

WE BRING A VIBRANT SPLASH OF COLOR TO EVERY PLATE

Red is a nutritional decision.

The modern food system defaulted to brown. Processed, convenient, stripped of color and stripped of what color once signaled. Get Redy grows a correction into the ground every season.

Foods in the red spectrum carry some of the most documented health benefits in the produce world. Cardiovascular support, anti-inflammatory properties, antioxidant density, hydration, and so much more. The research is substantial and growing. Red stops people at the table. It makes them reach. A salad is just a bowl of greens without color.

WHAT WE GROW

OUR FOUNDER

A cultural practitioner who learned to grow food.

Nai Vasha spent twenty years working in industries that shift culture and shape consumer behavior — creative direction, brand strategy, editorial, production, and community building across New York, Los Angeles, and beyond. She understands what makes people move, what makes a story land, and what a brand needs to earn trust. Then she took a one-way flight to Hawai’i at the top of the pandemic.

Six years on the island. Five years of active agricultural practice. A participant in the Go Farm Hawaiʻi incubator program, she is building Get Redy with the same discipline brought to every creative practice before it. Creative literacy and agricultural knowledge sitting in the same body. That intersection is rare and entirely deliberate.

THE PEOPLE BEHIND THE HARVEST

Built by community. Tended by many hands.

Get Redy has never operated alone. Volunteer days commence. College students self-organize and arrive. CSA members show up to contribute, not just receive. The hands that turn this soil come from all across the island. — different ages, different backgrounds, the same belief that food is worth working for.

The people behind the harvest are everyone who has shown up, spread the word, bought a bunch of beets, or pulled a weed on a Sunday morning. That is the community — built through presence, not programming.

OUR PHILOSOPHY

Food is the one system we can actually control.

Every other system — healthcare, housing, economy — operates on us. Food is where we operate with agency. The choices made about what we grow, how we grow it, who we grow it for, and what we teach about it compound over time into something that looks like real change.

People have gotten far from understanding what feeds them. No other mammal behaves this way. Get Redy builds a path back — through access, education, and lived example that makes growing food feel possible rather than aspirational. The largest value this farm offers lives in the knowledge that travels alongside the harvest. Synthesized, shared, and designed to move more people toward growing more food in more places. One farm, one lesson, one harvest at a time.
