October Lifestyle Guide
Living well takes a village. This is ours.
These are the people we train with, heal with, and buy from. Real ones doing real work.
This month we're turning up the heat, getting back in our bodies, and filling our bags with food grown right here on Oʻahu. Let's get into it.
Aerobics
Heated · Kakaʻako, Honolulu
Trainer: Alexa
Heated brings the heat for real. Every class runs in an infrared-heated room, and you can pick your lane: Strength, Tone, Build, Stretch, or Recover. Alexa keeps the energy high and the music loud, and she'll show you how to scale any move to your level. You're gonna sweat. You're gonna feel it the next day. And you're gonna come back. Heated is locally owned and woman-run.
522 Keawe St, Kakaʻako
Yoga Room · Honolulu
Trainer: Soley
The Yoga Room gives you two ways to practice, right across the parking lot from each other. The heated studio runs 90 to 95 degrees for hot hatha, Pilates, and sculpt. The chill studio keeps it natural for vinyasa, restore, and Shakti, a mix of yoga, dance, and functional movement. Classes stay small, so you get real attention. Soley meets you right where you are and leads with the prowess to get you through any exercise. Any level is welcome.
1120 12th Ave and 1152 Koko Head Ave, Kaimukī
Yoga Under the Palms · Kailua
Trainer: Haley
Picture an open-air patio wrapped in green, with sun coming through wood slats and lanterns overhead. That's Yoga Under the Palms. Classes mix vinyasa flow with strength, dance, and light weights, then close out in shavasana. Haley keeps the flow moving and the playlist fresh. Your first class is free, and the health bar out front serves smoothies and wraps for after.

Wellness
Remedy Holistic Wellness Studio · Kailua
Remedy is where you go to reconnect with yourself. They do plant-based facials, massage, facial cupping, TMJ relief, sound healing, and somatic therapy. They also offer pregnancy-safe treatments, so mamas are covered. Everything is by appointment, so book ahead. Grab some herbal facial oil on your way out.
436 Uluniu St, Suite A, Kailua
Gopika Toprani teaches folks how to slow down and stay there. She's a certified meditation and yoga teacher and a meridian bodyworker. Her toolkit runs deep: Meridian Movement Therapy, acupressure, ear seeding, breathwork, sound healing, and deep Yin yoga. Catch her weekly yoga, her monthly candlelit Yin workshop, or book a one-on-one program built for you. She also brings stress and burnout workshops to teams and businesses.
Sessions across Oʻahu
Chinese Herbs and Acupuncture · Honolulu
This is old medicine that still works. Chinese Herbs & Acupuncture pairs acupuncture with traditional herbal formulas to bring your body back into balance. Folks come through for stress, sleep, digestion, pain, and everyday upkeep. Every visit is built around what your body needs that day. Come in feeling tight. Leave feeling clear.

Fitness
Lava Wellness · Ala Moana, Honolulu
Lava makes wellness feel like a hangout. Their whole thing is that wellness is essential for everybody, not a luxury. Hit the private or communal sauna, then the ice bath. Book red light therapy, a hyperbaric chamber session, or 20 minutes in the Somadome meditation pod, the only one in Honolulu. They run movement classes and IV drips too.
1155 S King St, Honolulu
Volcanic is a bouldering gym focused on movement, problem-solving, and community. No ropes needed. Routes reset weekly, so there's always a new problem to solve, from first-timer climbs to the really tough ones. The gym backs up to Hāmākua Marsh, and it's woman-owned, LGBTQ-friendly, and wheelchair accessible. Pull up for a women and nonbinary climb night, an intro clinic, or a league.

Itani Athletic Club · Downtown Honolulu
Itani calls itself a modern dojo for the practice of life. The training draws on Japanese martial arts and the aloha spirit, and it's built for every age. IAC is the first gym outside Japan to run the Tanren training machine, with a method overseen by a Tokyo University professor who specializes in strength training for longevity. Sessions can run just 30 minutes, so busy folks have no excuse. The coaching runs deep: a former Kyoto judo coach and a retired pro MMA fighter who coached Max Holloway in wrestling. Seniors, new moms, athletes coming back from injury, and working folks all train here.

Farmer’s Markets
Lokahi Market · Kailua
Every Sunday, 9am to 1pm
This one's ours. Lōkahi is a lively pop-up market where you support local, shop small, and meet the makers. Every Sunday Get Redy Farm brings the farm to Kailua with fresh produce, value-add goods, and flowers. Our floral artist Julia makes custom bouquets right at the table. Come get your greens, grab some stems, and say what's up.
340 Uluniu St, Kailua
Abl Collective is a crew of farmers and makers building a food system Oʻahu can lean on. They run a regenerative farm, a CSA, and a community garden that works as a living classroom. Join a monthly workday, learn to grow, and take home a share of the harvest. No experience needed. Their Saturday market at Hawaiʻi Kai Shopping Center is all Hawaiʻi-grown food.
Hawaiʻi Kai Shopping Center
333 Keahole St, Honolulu, HI 96825
Thursday nights in Kailua belong to the farmers. The Hawaiʻi Farm Bureau runs this market and checks every vendor, so everything on the table is grown right here in Hawaiʻi. Load up on produce, flowers, plants, local beef, pork, poultry, and seafood. Then grab dinner. Fried mochi from Mochi Aulelei goes fast, so get there before 6:30. Fatto a Mano fires sourdough pizza to order. Live music plays, keiki draw with chalk, and neighbors post up on beach chairs till the 7pm bell rings. Bring a chair, a bag, and some cash for the farm stands.
Kailua Town Center, 609 Kailua Rd
That's the guide. Go sweat, go heal, go eat local. And when you pull up to any of these spots, tell 'em Get Redy sent you.
